While deciding whether to sell or renovate I came across a recommendation for Andrea as an Architect on a local community page. This led me to his website where I could review his portfolio of work. He is open, collaborative, engaging, methodical and always thinking ahead. Andrea clearly laid out the options to work with him at each phase of the project. And kept any budget considerations in mind throughout the process. His knowledge of council and building regulations maximised our living space and simplified the process we needed to follow, allowing the full build to be completed as a Complying Development. We really enjoyed the design process where Andrea modelled four different layouts from which we evolved our final design. Andrea developed a 3D model of the design which allowed us to clearly envisage and refine the final design. His final plans where a continual reference by everyone involved in the project due to the detailed information provided. Andrea has transformed our home – which as the result of many smaller renovations had become a mazelike collation of smaller rooms – and turned it into a modern, open home with spacious living areas. He also introduced an internal courtyard which floods our home with light daily. His vision has allowed us to achieve a result far greater than we imagined. I would recommend Andrea to any future client. He treated our house as a home with a focus on both form and function. This has resulted in a beautiful home that we love – and is also pragmatic to live in.

It seems crazy looking back that we initially had reservations about using an architect for our renovations. We were concerned about costs having heard nightmare stories from work colleagues about huge bills for unhelpful plans. We kept the very patient Andrea waiting for a year whilst we worked through the process in our heads but since we engaged him we haven’t looked back! He has transformed our house and our life with his plans and exceptional taste and attention to detail. Andrea was legendary in creating the design and house we had dreamed about. He came up with many awesome design options and solutions to enable us to transform an old 1927 home into a 4 bedroom beach house. He absolutely nailed the design and was able to bring to life all our ideas. His flexible and responsive attitude made the entire process effortless and stress free.
